Minecraft Java server hosting
Survival with friends, Paper with plugins, or a modpack. Start with the version you want to play. We’re building managed hosting for players in the US and Canada, and ordering isn’t open yet.
Choose your server software
Vanilla is the official server. Paper is what most plugin servers run. Fabric, Forge and NeoForge load mods, and each pack needs its own loader and Minecraft version. Tell us the exact pack name and version before picking a plan.
Size the plan around your world
Launch pricing is 2GB for $7/month, 4GB for $13, 8GB Modded for $24, 12GB for $34 and 16GB for $44. The first month is 30% off. RAM depends on mods, how much map you’ve explored, view distance and what players are doing. Player count alone won’t tell you.
Bring a world or start fresh
Keep an untouched copy of your world before any move. Share the current Minecraft version, server software and required plugins or mods. Changing versions or loaders can make an existing world incompatible.
Check access before inviting friends
Turn on the whitelist for a private group and give op to as few people as you can. Bedrock players can’t join a Java server unless you add Geyser.
Before the first session
Pick one version together
Have everyone install the same Minecraft version. For a modded server, match the pack release too, including its loader. A matching pack name alone is not enough.
Keep the first launch simple
Start the server before adding extra plugins or changing world settings. Then enable the whitelist and invite one player to check that joining and saving work.
Change settings with a backup
Stop the server cleanly before copying its world. Keep the world, configuration and plugin or mod data together so a restore has the files it needs.
Questions before you start
Can I use mods and plugins together?
Not on the same server, normally. Paper plugins and Forge or Fabric mods need different server software. Send us your list and we’ll check.
Can I order now?
Not yet. The plans show what we’ll sell at launch. You can still email us about your setup now.
